Diet Center - Frequently Asked Questions

Below are a list of questions we usually receive by our customers. Click on the asked questions below to view answer provided by our professionals.

How much physical activity do I need to do in order to lose weight?

There is no physical activity plan that fits all. Your dietitian will advise you on the type of physical activity, duration and frequency you should follow. In general, you should do at least 30 minutes of continuous physical activity every day to stay healthy. If you exceed the 30 minutes  you might be able to burn fat then.

How can I get nutrition advice about a medical condition?

You can refer to a Licensed Dietitian (L.D.) at any branch of the Nutrition and Diet Center. An L.D. can provide personalized dietary advice taking into consideration your health status (such as other medical conditions), lifestyle, and food likes and dislikes and offer you a personalized diet plan or meal program to follow at home.

What is the best way to lose weight in a fast way and maintain the lost weight?

There is not magic diet that can fit everyone. A personalized meal pan is key to achieve your desired weight. A Licensed Dietitian (L.D.) at any branch of the Nutrition and Diet Center will assess your body’s needs according to your height, weight, age, gender, medical conditions, % fat and % muscles and will customize a meal plan for you to follow.  Physical activity is also very important to help you lose weight and maintain it. Your dietitian will also advise you on a physical activity plan that suits your body best.
