
Traveling Anywhere Soon?
As Summer is approaching, here are a few tips to stay healthy when traveling!
- Choose cafés and restaurants instead of fast food places as they always have a wider variety of items to choose from including salads, small sandwiches & platters!
- Always carry a healthy snack with you; you never know when you will have your next meal. Carry items that have a long shelf life and don’t need refrigeration like oat bars, granola bars, small whole grain cereal boxes or dried fruits like apricots and raw nuts (walnuts and almonds)
- Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate! Keep a bottle of water near at all times to avoid dehydration or confusing thirst with hunger
- Enjoy! Keep it balanced with the 80/20 rule, make healthy choices mostly but enjoy a few indulgent meals here and there, especially if they are staples of the country you're visiting!
